Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026.
In short: Mars Music collects no data about you. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. We receive nothing about what you do in the app.
Where your information is stored
- Your music stays in your iCloud Drive. Mars Music reads it from the folder you choose and only changes it when you edit a song's info and tap “Save”.
- Your library index, artwork, waveforms and the previous info of edited songs are stored only on your device.
- Your playlists, smart playlists, play counts and preferences are stored in your private iCloud account to sync across your devices. Apple protects them with your Apple ID; we have no access to them.
Third-party services
- Plex (optional). If you import playlists from Plex, you sign in on Plex's website (plex.tv); Mars Music never sees your password. The access key Plex provides is kept in your device's keychain and is only used to read your playlists from your Plex server. You can sign out at any time in the app. See Plex's privacy policy.
- Siri. When you ask Siri for music, Apple processes your request under its own privacy policy. Mars Music only receives what you asked for (for example, a song name) to find it in your library.
- iCloud. Managed by Apple under its privacy policy.
Children
Mars Music collects no data from anyone, including children.
